congratulations, Dr. Crazy! when you've caught your breath, i (and i'm sure there are others in this boat) would love to read your meditations upon the whole process. i'm particularly interested in knowing what state of repair/disrepair your manuscript was in when you sent it out, and what your work has consisted of since it was accepted. that is, was it largely your diss. with attached plans for revision? or, had you done a strong revision, sent it to presses, and won a contract on that basis?
again, congrats--what a feeling that must be. that sense of closing a major chapter of your life must be incredible. they come all too infrequently.
