In Which I Brag about My Breakfast

You know, I think that I have some sort of gift with the cooking of eggs. No, I mean really. It's like I just know what to do with them. Like I make perfect scrambled eggs and always have. It's like a special talent or something.

Today I decided - on a whim - to make my first ever omelet. I made it with broccoli and cheddar cheese. It is perfection. Seriously. And not greasy like restaurant omelets, nor dry. Nope. Perfect, light, fluffy deliciousness.

Ok, now back to watching the film my students are viewing this week and making up some questions for them to think about while they watch.

I love spaghetti and eggs... take leftover spaghetti - warm it up with a little olive oil in a pan... then coat it with two or three beaten eggs, adding a bit of cheese to taste.

Top it with Parmesan cheese....

Sounds delcious.

Cooking an egg is actually something they use in cooking reality shows. It is supposed to be really hard to cook an egg perfectly.

I'm intrigued by this spaghetti and eggs dish.... very intrigued....

PPD: I totally know. This is where I think my egg gift is some sort of savant-like thing. Because there's no reason why I should do so well with the egg, considering how hard egg-type things are supposed to be. I'm still marveling that I did such a good job on my first-ever omelet. What a fluke! (I'll admit I watched Tyler Florence make an omelet recently, though, which did influence my omelet technique)
