Because You Are Desperate to Know How the Hair Turned Out

This post will not stay up long, just FYI.

And I should probably add the caveat that the hair is flatter than it would be normally because since I can't wash it for two days (letting the color set), my Hair Person didn't use any product at all. Also, the color is a bit deeper than it looks, but you know the flash, and digital cameras, etc., so this is a close approximation. I am very excited for it to grow longer. I feel that it shall be even more fabulous :)

Now you see it, now you don't! Poof!

As a complete stranger, I'm sure this will matter tons, but it looks good. I approve.

I love compliments from complete strangers :) Indeed, those compliments mean more, as strangers have no payoff for being nice :)

Wow. You have such a beautifully square face - I haven't been this turned on since I dated that Rubix Cube girl. It didn't work out because she was like soooo complicated.

:-P

Juno! I've not heard from you in ages! Don't you know, I'm terribly complicated :)

Yay! I didn't miss it!

LOVE this cut. I wish I were brave enough to go this short. It looks so good!

oooh, I love it! It's not only a great cut, but the color is awesome... it looks so shiny!

Yea for a new haircut!!

I saw one of those celebra-hairstylist on TV last week. He was commenting on the "cut that man right out of my hair" haircuts -- he loves them, they keep him in business :).

First of all, can I just say that my Hair Person (whom I LOVE) gave me a deal on the operations of today because she was so excited that I made a big change? 75 dollars, my friends, for a cut, color, and eyebrow wax, and two full hours of time. My Hair Person is EXCELLENT. Obviously, I tip her generously :)

Second: This is so *not short* for me, Aayor. I'd call this positively medium-length. The trick with going shorter, if you're afraid, is baby steps. If you've got a HP that you trust, just go shorter slowly. Slowly enough that you can call it off if it's horrifying. I'm not that way with length (because I've had hair of every length and because my hair grows pretty quickly) but I am that way with color (because I'm vain about my natural color and am terrified that it will somehow be ruined). I only went this dark because I trust my HP totally. I may even go darker next time. Or I may go back to blond me, as I do love blond me. Who knows. The point is, it's about having an HP that you trust (a) and about only doing things in small steps, so as not to freak yourself out.

MM: It is shiny, isn't it? I'm obsessive about conditioning, and I think it makes a difference :)

I'll be poofing the picture soon, but thank you all for the positive reinforcement! Can I just say I love the heavier bangs? While you can't tell with the rectangle over my face, they really make my eyes look HUGE and, indeed, BEAUTIFUL.

(Let me just say hello now to the people who will hate me for thinking that I'm beautiful or for implying that I'm more beautiful than the ugly people. And I'll just note that I'm not saying I am, inherently, beautiful, or even attractive, but rather that the haircut is flattering, and dude, it's not my fault that it is and that I know it is. No, I don't think I'm the greatest thing ever. I'm just saying: a good haircut really is a good thing, no matter what a person looks like.)
