If you eat chocolate (and/or wine) while grading, the bright spots of the chocolate-eating can trick you into thinking there are bright spots to grading.
Here's hoping that you finish faster than you thought!
What I do to get through grading? Starbucks with friends. I am lucky enough to be friends with some of my colleagues and we go to Starbucks together and grade. Every 45 minutes, we get 15 minutes of talking and then back to grading. While not exactly "fun" way more fun than any other way. (At this time of year we have been known to round off the grading with an hour of Christmas shopping.)
I'm terrible at making grading tolerable. I always read the ones that are easy to grade (half the required length, not on the correct topic, three weeks late) or have interesting topics first, and then I'm stuck with the stuff that bores me at the end - when I'm the most tired and eager to get it finished.

I'm with you this evening. It does not have any bright spots, don't fool yourself. Good luck! May it go quickly.
Yeah, seriously. No bright spots. :( Hang in!
Agreed. I am currently avoiding doing mine.
Here, here.
It'll be over soon, right?

I used to be a big fan of grading to "The Sopranos." It got me through more than few end-of-term deluges.
What if you eat chocolate and whine?
