Am I A Stalker?

'Cause I just got the Greek's phone number and I reverse-phone-booked it to find out where he lives. I feel like that's kind of creepy. But I wanted to know. Turns out he lives approximately 3 minutes from me. Well, geographical convenience is important to me.

In other news, I've got no other news. I'm quite boring. But I'm supposed to talk to the Greek on the phone tonight. I'm not excited (as I'm too tired and burnt out to be excited) but I'm not NOT excited, which I take as a positive sign.

Okeydokey, off I go to meet with a student.

I have to say I don't know what 'reverse-phone-booking' is, but I get the gist. And yeah, kind of creepy sums it up. Not that I'm judging, I have done a lot worse in my time.

Well, for the non-stalkers out there, you can do a thing on the internet where you look a person up by their phone number and it gives you their name and address. It doesn't work if they give you a cell phone (obviously) but it does if they give you a land line. And yes, it's kind of creepy. But I needed information, dammit!

Also, I'm sure I've done worse as well, in the grand scheme of things :)

Eh, curiosity gets the best of us time and again.

When the binoculars come out is the time to worry.

I'm totally a stalker like that (in the obtaining of information sense, not the you-broke-up-with-me-so-I'm-leaving-black-roses-on-your-doorstep sense). When I had crushes on people in college I would figure out what classes they had and look up the rooms online and "bump into" them.

anybody at all in touch with their inner stalker has done such things.

I think I've actually only ambushed professors by figuring out their schedules and running into them. you know, to "arrange" a casual we just ran into each other and I asked a by the way kind of question meeting.

I would have done that. I'm going to assume that you've already Googled him, too.

I think it's hilarious that I have so much support in this behavior :)

And OF COURSE I've googled him! Annoyingly, however, he did not call last night as he was supposed to. He's either really lame or really afraid of me, and I'm not sure which.

My good friend, and partner-in-crime, sums such behavoir thusly: It is not stalking, it is simply gathering good intelligence.
