And the Book Drama Continues....

The off-campus bookstore? The one that assured me that had ordered the correct book, after I re-sent them the ISBN #s after the problems at the campus bookstore? They ordered the wrong fucking book.

I really want to die. Why, why did they all get this so colossally wrong? (Incidentally, both bookstores got it wrong in different ways. Nice.)

um, because bookstores live to be the bane of our fucking existence, C.

you should surely know this by now...

(happened to me too, if it's any consolation.)

Goose! I thought I'd never see you again!

Bane of my fucking existence is right, though. At least it's good to know that I'm not alone :)

Campus area bookstores suck -- I give my senior and grad students the ISBNs and book information early n the summer and let them order online if they want. That cuts out one set of problems but leaves me with two courses still to be screwed up!

Oh, that completely sucks. Something similar happened to me last year and it took the bookstore a MONTH to sort it out.

I suspect that this might get sorted out by next fall (I hope). That said, my solution is to put on reserve the readings that are not in the version of the wrong book that most of them ended up with. Sigh.

Yep, I'm still around...just do a lot of bloglines reading and not much commenting anymore.

Between going up for tenure and other crazy bullshit...that's about all I have time for anymore.

By the way, I sent you an email to the yahoo acct...just as a heads up.

and yes, I realize I just ended both of the first two sentences with "anymore."

I have edited all fucking day--I've got nothin' left for comments I guess.
