In Which I Am Without Words

Ok, so you all know how I enjoy a Lifetime movie every now and again, and I did somehow get partially sucked into one this evening. Note: it is called "Then She Found Me," and it is about a mother who finds the daughter she gave up for adoption.

The cast includes Helen Hunt (who directed as well), Bette Midler, Colin Firth, Matthew Broderick, and....

Salman Rushdie. Playing a gynecologist.

No, I'm not kidding.

I can sort of see this - or see why he might do it if asked - he seems kind of fascinated by American pop culture and Hollywood (in The Ground Beneath Her Feet for example).

Wow, just wow. Pretty solid cast, but the Rushdie casting is so weird.

How was it?
