Back from the Big Easy

I am home. Stuffed with lovely food, much rejuvenated after days spent walking, hanging out, having girl time and new conference friend time... and did I mention the eating of the mountains of food? I had a woman (whom BFF and I have named "the leprous crone" but who has named herself "Fox") read my tarot cards in Jackson Square (and I have to say, I think that she may really have some gifts, as such things go, or at the very least I enjoy that she looks like an authentic gypsy complete with headscarf and that she only shows up when darkness falls - not when it's all touristy psychics all over the place).

In other words, a great weekend.

More tomorrow. I need to go spend some quality time with the kitties. Thanks for the support re: the last post. "Fox" had some really wise things to say about my situation, pretty much all of which are encompassed by her emphatic announcement "Other people's problems are not your problems." There was also a thing about a glass half filled with sand with a rock jammed in the top. In any case, I don't know what will happen, but the days away did not result in me feeling any differently than I felt Wednesday night, so I think I'm on the right path.

I once aspired to be a tarot card reader in Jackson Square.

And Fox was spot on about at least one thing. . .Glad you had a good weekend.

So glad you have a good time, and that Fox gave you good advice. (Actually, it is good advice for all of us!)
