There may be a time and a place for everything. The difficulty is figuring out when and where.

A Bright Spot....
In an otherwise bleak morning (the morning of the first rejection of the season, indeed). The below did make me smile in spite of that. Just imagine what having a "Dr. Crazy" on both your houses might be like!
Indeed, Curmudgeon, those are words to live by, for how could one NOT be true to one's own Curmudgeon? Clearly an impossibility :)
And thanks, Hilaire. I'm feeling much more philosophical about it now, but it does sting not to make it past the first round (though I'm thinking that clearly they had something specific in mind that has nothing to do with me).
Anastasia: Well, I'm not sure if Crazy is a pox, but this curse did immediately remind me of an ex, who accused a friend of mine in a lengthy diatribe about me (and apparently all of those who associate with me as well) after the break-up, "I know what you people are!" I'm still not entirely certain what that means, but I can't help but smile whenever I think of it :)
R&J!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I put my name in, I got:
ReplyDeleteThis above all: to thine own Curmudgeon be true.
Words to live by, I say.
Ugh, I'm sorry about the rejection. :(

does this mean Crazy is a pox?
ReplyDeleteYa gotta love it. Mine is Out, Out brief Belle!
ReplyDeleteCurmudgeon's is the best though.

ReplyDeleteAnd here is the Man-Kitty's, which I think is most fitting:
ReplyDelete"Follow your spirit, and, upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, Man-Kitty and Saint George!"
"It was the nightingale, and not the lark
ReplyDeleteThat pierced the fearful heu mihi of thine ear."
I did this earlier, and got something about laying open this heu mihi with my sword. I'm feeling a little...beset.
